I'm Brian, Professional Funeral and Wedding Celebrant, based in Manchester and serving clients across the North-West of England.
I am married with three children and five grandchildren, whom I dedicate most of my free time to, not forgetting my two dogs, of course.
I have been Chairman of a Charity raising money and awareness for the Mentally disabled and disadvantaged children through fund raising events - helping and supporting others, has always been a major part of who I am.
The motivation to become a celebrant came at a time of bereavement: the passing of both my Mother, and a very close friend. Naturally, it was an incredibly difficult time but I will always remember the warmth and comfort that myself, family and friends received from each ceremony being lead by an excellent celebrant.
I knew then, that this was my calling, to help others in the same way. I decided to undertake professional training and certification, with Celebrant Life Services Ltd, who are approved trainers by the Association of Independent Celebrants (AOIC), with whom I am now a member.
In addition to being a professional Funeral Celebrant for civil funeral ceremonies, I am also a Wedding Celebrant, providing uplifting, personalised and tailored wedding ceremonies too.
I am calm, confident and eloquent. I am at ease in all social occasions and find it easy to instigate conversations with new people. I find my friendly disposition enables my clients to feel at ease when meeting me.
Being a celebrant is a deeply personal responsibility and something that I feel genuinely honoured to carry out, for so many people. The client feedback I get is incredibly rewarding, to know i've helped, even in only a small way, to make a very difficult time, that bit easier.
